Drummore Beaches

Kilstay on the A716 just before Drummore. Drummore Bay is accessed via a L turn at the ‘T’ junction with Mill Street and turning L at Shore St (parking is limited on Shore St. Cairngarroch Bay - turn L at Mill Street and R at the harbour and follow the road around to a rough car park with picnic benches. A quiet Bay with lovely wild flowers in early summer. Beach Type - Sand/pebbles. Clean expanse of beach. Free parking available near most beaches. Kilstay - parking on the road verge. Cairngarroch Bay, Drummore - parking & picnic area         About 0.5 miles away from the village.New England Bay, Nr Drummore  - large parking area with toilets and water supply. About 3.3 miles away from Drummore.

Information centre Mill St. Drummore. Staffed by volunteers from the village. A good resource centre including family history research for those with ancestors local to the area. Pubs - Queens Hotel, Clashwannon and Ship Inn. All serve food. General grocers and a post office. Mill Street Drummore. Cafe’s - Mariners cafe Mill Street, Drummore, Gallie Craig Coffee Shop at the Mull of Galloway, Cool Licks & Hot Sips Ice Cream ice cream cart at Port Logan near the beach.
